Good Morning to all! Today is Memorial Day. With all the cooking an eating going on lets not forget the reason were here in the first place. To REMEMBER !!! Remember all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for us to have the freedoms that most of us take for granted. Please pay your respect to these men and women in your prayers prior to stuffing your face with four hot dogs, or in the case of my household BBQ.
This morning started pretty early for me. I started the smoker up about 7:00am. I'm smoking a 7lb Butt for a get together this evening grill time will be about 7 hrs. No need to rush once you get it in the smoker. I went a head and applied a rub to the butt last evening. I used the Proud Piggy Sweet Butt Rub, tented it with foil in a 9'' x 9'' glass dish and let it hangout in the fridge overnight.
Once the smoker was ready we threw it in and let the magic begin.
